6.4.2 Assembling a 32x32 Switcher
As can be seen in Figure 7, a 32x32 switcher consists of 4 VS-1616A
units (MACHINE ADDRESS # 1, MACHINE ADDRESS # 2,
MACHINE ADDRESS # 7 and MACHINE ADDRESS # 8). To
assemble, as
Figure 10 illustrates:
1. Set the same MACHINE #

2. Set the MACHINE ADDRESS # to 1, 2, 7 and 8 on each of the 4 units,
respectively (refer to
on all the 4 VS-1616A units.

3. Set DIP 6 OFF on each of the 4 VS-1616A units.
4. Interconnect the corresponding EXTENSION / UNBALANCED OUT
connectors between the same EXTENSION / UNBALANCED OUT
connectors, as follows:
• 1 to 1, 2 to 2, 3 to 3, up to and including 16 to 16, for
MACHINE ADDRESS # 7 and MACHINE ADDRESS # 1
