- Insert both parts together, position them, and fasten them using air filter holder

Finishing work
- Install the air filter box lid. ( -- p. 88)
11.5 Cleanin&lhe air filter and air filter box

Environmental hazard Hazardous substances cause environmental damage.
- Oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaners, brake fluid, etc., should be disposed of as stipulated in applicable regulations.

I Do not clean the air filter with fuel or petroleum since these substances attack the foam.
Preparatory work
- Remove the air filter box lid. ( -- p. 88)

Remove the air filter. ( -- p. 88)
Main work
- Wash the air filter thoroughly in special cleaning liquid and allow it to dry properly.
I Air filter cleaner ( -- p. 292)
• Info
I Only press the air filter to dry it, never wring it out.
- Oil the dry air filter with a high quality filter oil.
I Oil for foam air filter ( -- p. 293)

Clean the air filter box.
- Check the intake flange for damage and firm seating.
Finishing work
- Install the air filter. ( -- p. 88)
- Install
the air filter box lid. ( -- p. 88)
