washers are used for fastening the robot to the bedplates or to a machine
frame. Pins and sword pins are provided to ensure correct positioning.
Preconditions
The mounting surface has been prepared for the robot.
The connecting cables are installed on the system side.
The site of installation must be accessible with a fork lift truck or with a
crane. Minimum payload capacity 2,500 kg
Procedure 1. Check that the pins are undamaged and fitted securely (>>> Fig. 8-8 ).
2. Bring the robot to the installation site by crane or fork lift truck.
3. Lower the robot vertically onto the mounting face. Ensure that an entirely
vertical position is maintained in order to prevent damage to the pins.
4. Remove the fork lift truck or lifting tackle.
5. Insert 8 M24x70-8.8-A2K hexagon bolts together with conical spring
washers.
6. Tighten 8 hexagon bolts with a torque wrench in diagonally opposite se-
quence. Gradually increase the tightening torque to 640 Nm.
7. Connect motor cables X30 and X30.2.
8. Connect control cable X31.
9. Establish the equipotential bonding between the robot and the robot con-
troller and between the robot and the system potential via the threaded
bolts.
10. Check the equipotential bonding in accordance with VDE 0100 and EN
60204-1.
11. If present, mount the tool and connect the energy supply systems.
