J0502/J0503: Cassette no feed
Condition: No mark of paper feed at the paper leading edge and, the cassette bottom
plate is rising but the paper feed drive does not start.
During paper feed from cassette 2,3, the leading edge does not come out from the cassette (no mark of paper
feed at the leading edge).

2 Checking the paper feed
shaft
The PF feed roller shaft or
pin is not attached properly
and PF feed roller does not
rotate.
Reattach the feed shaft and
feed pin. If deformed, replace
them.
3 Checking the driving parts The PF feed motor drive is
not transmitted properly.
Check if the PF feed roller
smoothly rotates manually
and clean the drive parts and
reattach them if necessary. If
not repaired, replace them.
4 Checking the PF feed
clutch
The PF feed clutch is not
linked and the PF feed
roller does not rotate.
Reattach the PF feed clutch
and reconnect the connector.
If not repaired, replace it.
5 Checking the PF feed
motor
The PF feed motor does
not operate properly.
Reattach the PF feed motor
and reconnect the connector.
If not repaired, replace it.
6 Replacing the PF main
PWB
The PF main PWB is
faulty.
Replace the PF main PWB.
7 Replacing the main/engine
PWB
The main/engine PWB is
faulty.
Replace the main/engine
PWB.
