5 Commissioning
Please refer to the information in Chapter Ä Chapter 8 “Operating a device
with pressure overlay” on page 132 for devices with pressure overlay.
5.1 Establishing a mains connection

Contact with voltage conductors due to faulty mains cable
Electric shock
The mains cable may not come into contact with hot heat
transfer liquid and other hot parts, neither during operation
nor after the device is switched o.
NOTICE!
Use of impermissible mains voltage or mains frequency
Device damage
Compare the rating label with the available mains voltage
and mains frequency.
Please note:
n Only connect the devices with a mains cable to a socket with a protec-
tive ground (PE) and only use the installed mains cable for the power
supply.
n The mains switch disconnects the device from the power unit. The mains
switch must be easy to identify and access.
Note for IN 2560 XTW and IN 2560 PW
The mains cable is not supplied. With regard to the connection, see
Ä Chapter 3.6 “Power supply at IN 2560 XTW and IN 2560
PW” on page 25.
Note for electric installation on site
n We recommend LAUDA that a back-up fuse is installed on the installa-
tion side for three-phase devices: 25 A class cc low peak
