Chapter 5: VEA-684 Video Equalizing Distribution Amplifier Modules
Operation
These three potentiometers are located at the front edge of the module: GAIN,
EQ, and RESPONSE.
• A multi-turn potentiometer GAIN, R5, allows for adjustment to the gain
over a range of ±3dB. The gain is increased when this potentiometer is
adjusted clockwise.
• Another multi-turn potentiometer EQ, R6, allows for adjustment to the
equalization. It is adjusted clockwise to obtain more equalization.
• A single-turn potentiometer RESPONSE, R21, allows for fine adjustment to
the high frequency response. It has been factory-set/calibrated; readjusting
is not recommended without precise test equipment.
