Appendix C: Universal Power Supply Installation and Replacement
Replacing a Frame’s Power Supply
1. Disconnect both power cords from the frame.
2. Locate the power supply you need to replace at the back of the unit and
remove the safety screw for that power supply from the back of the frame.
3. Remove the old power supply by sliding it out through the front of the
frame.

4. Insert the new power supply, pushing it into its slot until it is flush against
the frame.
5. Install the safety screw back in its designated location.
6. Attach the power cords to the new power supply for powering the unit.

You can replace the power
supply while the frame is
installed in a rack, but you must
have access to both the back and
front of the frame to do so.
