Measurements without Probe:
If the structural layout makes it impossible to set a probe, the probe line may thus
be connected to the earthed/grounded neutral wire (N wire). As in this measuring
method the resistance of the system earth/ground connection (R

) is included in
the measurement, the measured value should be corrected by the formula

As the system earthing/grounding resistance may be max. 2 Ohm as per DIN VDE
0100 and is known only rarely, it is recommended to ignore the system
earthing/grounding resistance. The measured value then includes the value of R
B
as an increased factor of safety.
