Ifyouhaveanunlockmodeset,inputthecorrectinformation(password,PIN,orpattern)tounlockthe
screen.Formoreinformation,see“Lockingthetabletscreen”onpage53.
Youcannotperformanyworkonthetabletwhileitisinsleepmode.However,ifthetabletwasplaying
musicwhenitwasputinsleepmode,thetabletcontinuesplayingmusicwhileitisinsleepmodeandthe
volumebuttonsstillfunction.
Fromalockedscreen,youcanperformthefollowingoperationswithoutunlockingthescreen:
•Usethecameratotakepicturesorvideos.
•Checkfornoticationmessages.
•Whilelisteningtomusic,managemusictracksandcheckformusicalbums.
Forthesecurityandpower-savingpurposes,bydefault,thetabletisconguredtolockthescreen
automaticallyafterseveralminutesofinactivity.Ifyouwanttochangethedurationofinactivitythatelapses
beforethetabletentersthelockmodeautomatically,dothefollowing:
1.OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchDisplay➙Sleep.
2.Selectthedurationyouprefer.
Forthelongestbatterylifebetweencharges,selecttheshortestconvenientduration.
Checkingforinstalledwidgetsandapplications
AwidgetisasmallapplicationthatyoucanplaceonaHomescreentoprovidequickandeasyaccess
toinformation,anapplication,orafunction.Anapplicationisasoftwareprogramthatenablesyouto
performaspecictask.
Tocheckforallofyourapplicationsandwidgets,includingthoseyoudownloadedfromGooglePlayand
LenovoAppShop,touchtheapplicationsiconfromaHomescreentoopentheapplicationlibrary.Then
touchtheAPPStabortheWIDGETStabtoviewallitems.Fromtheapplicationlibrary,touchanitemto
launchit,orholdanddraganitemtoaddittothedesiredHomescreen.

onyourtablet.
