WhenthetabletisconnectedtoyourcomputerthroughthemicroUSBconnector,amenuisdisplayedon
yourtabletwiththefollowingoptions:
•Low-powerchargeonly.Pleaseturnoffyourtablet'sscreen.
Ifyouchoosethisoption,turnoffthetabletscreenbybrieypressingandreleasingthepowerbutton.
•Transferles(MTP)orTransferles(PTP)(dependingonyourcongurationofthemicroUSB
connectionsettings)
Touchthisoptionifyouwanttocopyormovepictures,documents,andotherdatalesfromortoyour
computer.See“Usingsynchronizationsolutions”onpage41
.
Note:Thepicturetransferprotocol(PTP)supportsonlythetransferofpictures.
Note:Ifyoueversetupascreenunlockpassword,PIN,orapattern,afteryoutouchanyoftheoptions,you
arepromptedtotypethepasswordorPIN,ordrawthepatterntocontinuewiththeoperation.
Ifyoudonotwantthispop-upmenutobedisplayedeachtimeyouconnectthetablettoacomputer,
disableitbydoingthefollowing:
1.OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchStorage.
2.Touchthemenuicon.ThentouchUSBcomputerconnection.
3.TouchanyoptionexceptAskonconnection.
Usingthefull-sizeUSBconnector
Usethefull-sizeUSBconnectortoconnectacompatibleUSBdevice,suchasaUSBmouse,USBkeyboard,
orUSBmemorykey.Tolocatethefull-sizeUSBconnectoronyourtablet,see“Tabletlayout”onpage1

Note:Thefull-sizeUSBconnectoriscompatiblewiththeUSB2.0standard.
WorkingwithUSBstoragedevices
IfyouconnectaUSBstoragedevicetoyourtablet,usetheUSBFileCopyUtilityapplicationtocopyles
fromonedevicetoanother,deleteles,viewledetails,andviewavailablespaceonthestoragedevice.
WhenaUSBstoragedeviceisconnectedtoyourtablet,apop-upmessageisdisplayedaskingyouif
youwanttostarttheUSBFileCopyUtilityapplication.TouchStartUtilitytolaunchtheUSBFileCopy
Utilityapplication.Otherwise,touchDon’tstart.
AfteryoutouchStartUtilityfromthepop-upmenu,theUSBFileCopyUtilityscreenopens,displayingthe
contentsstoredonboththetabletinternalstorageandtheconnectedUSBstoragedevice.
TocopyanitembetweenyourtabletandtheUSBdevice,dothefollowing:
1.Touchthenameofthedesiredstoragedevicefromthelocationbartoopenthelelistforthatdevice.
2.Touchthenamesofthedesiredles.Whenselected,agreencheckisdisplayedinthebottom-left
cornerofthele.
3.TouchCopy.Amessageboxopens,displayingalistofavailablestoragelocations.
4.Touchalocation.Thelesarecopiedtothedesiredlocation.
Note:EvenifyoudonotconnectaUSBstoragedevicetoyourtablet,youcanusetheUSBFileCopyUtility
applicationtomanagelesonyourtabletandonaninstalledashmediacard.
TodisconnecttheUSBstoragedevice,dooneofthefollowing:
•UnplugtheUSBdeviceorcabledirectly.
