Whenyouaretravelingoutdoorswithyourtabletandtheacpowerisnotavailable,youcanextendthe
batterylifebydoingthefollowing:
•TurnoffBluetooth,Wi-Fi,andGPSwhennotinuse.
ToturnoffBluetooth,Wi-Fi,andGPS,dothefollowing:
1.TouchthetimeareafromthesystembartoopentheStatusDetailspanel.
2.Touchanywhereinthepanel.TheQuickSettingspanelisdisplayed.
3.EitherswitchonAirplanemodetodisableallwirelessconnections,orswitchoffBluetooth,Wi-Fi,
andGPStodisablethefeatures.
•TurnoffautomaticsynchronizationforGmail,Calendar,Contacts,andotherapplicationsifyoudo
notneedthem.
Toturnofftheautomaticsynchronizationfunction,OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchAccounts&sync.
Thenswitchofftheauto-syncfunctionfromthetop-rightcorner.
•Lowerthebrightnessofyourscreen.
Followeitherofthefollowingprocedurestolowerthebrightnesslevelofyourscreen:
–OpentheQuickSettingspanel.Locatethescreenbrightnessiconandthendragtheslidertotheleftto
lowerthescreenbrightness.
–OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchDisplay➙Brightess.Dragtheslidertothelefttolowerthescreen
brightness.
•Turnoffthescreenwhenthetabletistemporarilynotinuse.
Pressthepowerbuttontoturnoffthescreen.
•Poweroffyourtabletifthetabletwillnotbeusedforawhile.
Toturnoffyourtablet,dothefollowing:
1.PressandholdthepowerbuttonuntilthePoweroffmenuisdisplayed.
2.TouchOK.
Checkingthebatterystatus
Gettheapproximatestatusofyourbatteryatanytimebycheckingthebatterystatusicononthesystembar.
Tocheckfortheaccuratestatus,touchthebatterystatusiconfromthesystembartoopentheStatusDetails
panel.Theremainingbatterypowerpercentageisdisplayedinthepanel.
Youalsocangetmuchmoredetailedbatterystatusbydoingthefollowing:
1.OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchAbouttablet.
2.TouchBatterytocheckwhichapplicationsareconsumingbatterypower.
Ifyouhaveusedyourtabletforalongtime,checkthebatteryconditionanddetermineifthebatteryshould
bereplacedwithanewonebydoingthefollowing:
1.OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchAbouttablet➙Status.
2.IfBatteryconditionshowsPoor,contactLenovoforfurtherinstructions.Thebatterymightneedto
bereplacedwithanewone.
