Thischapterprovidesinstructionsonhowtousesomebasicapplicationsandmanyofyourtablet’sfeatures.
BrowsingtheInternet
UsethebrowsertosurftheInternetandsearchforinformationontheWeb.
Note:Ifyouchoosetouseamobiledatanetwork,youmighthavetosignupforadataplanwithyour
servicecarrierinyourarea.Withsomecarriers,youcanchooseadataplan,trackyourdatausage,and
changeorcancelyourplan.Withsomeplansyoupaybasedontheamountofdataused,whilewithother
plansyoupayaxedfeeforunlimiteddatause.
Usingthebrowser
Toopenthebrowser,dooneofthefollowing:
•TouchtheBrowsericonfromthepredenedLenovoLaunchZone.
•PresstheBrowserbuttonontherightsideofyourtablet.
•OpentheapplicationlibraryandthentouchBrowser.
Whenthebrowseropens,usethefollowingcontrolstonavigatetheWeb,managebookmarks,congurethe
browser’ssettings,andsoon:
•Back:GobacktothepreviousWebpage.
•Forward:GoforwardtoarecentlyvisitedWebpage.
•
Refresh:RefreshthecurrentWebpage.
•Bookmark:BookmarkthecurrentWebpage.
•Search:UseGoogleSearchtosearchforinformation.
•
Bookmarks:Viewallbookmarksandthebrowsinghistory.
Formoreoptions,touchthemenuicon.
SearchingtheInternet
Bytypingorspeaking,youcanuseGoogleSearchorGoogleVoiceSearchtosearchforinformationonthe
Web.
GoogleSearch
Tosearchbytyping,dothefollowing:
1.FromaHomescreen,touchtheGoogleSearchicon.
2.Typeakeywordorothertextusingtheonscreenkeyboard.Asyoutype,thesearchresultsthatfullyor
partiallymatchthetextbeingtypedaredisplayedonamenubelowthesearchbox.
3.Dooneofthefollowing:
•Touchoneofthesearchresultsdisplayedonthemenu.
