ToinstallorreplacetheThinkServerRAIDSuperCapacitorModuleonthecoolingshroud,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaflat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage89.
4.IfyouareinstallingtheThinkServerRAIDSuperCapacitorModule,gotostep5.
IfyouarereplacingtheThinkServerRAIDSuperCapacitorModule,dothefollowing:
a.DisconnectthecableoftheThinkServerRAIDSuperCapacitorModulefromthePCIExpresscard.
Pressthetab1slightlyoutwardtoensurethatitcansmoothlypassthroughtheholeinthebracket
whenyouliftthebracket.Then,removethebracketwiththeThinkServerRAIDSuperCapacitor
