8.1.11 Modular machine conguraon
The modular machine conguraon can be used from release 3.10 onwards!
The modular machine conguraon enables only one project to be used for all machine
variants (maximum conguraon).
8.1.11.1 Behavior of the EtherCAT master
When the modular machine conguraon is used, the EtherCAT master behavior diers from
the behavior known so far:
As soon as one of the funcon blocks L_ETC_MMCController or L_ETC_MMCControllerBus
is instanced in the PLC applicaon, the EtherCAT master waits with boong the bus.
Via the funcon blocks L_ETC_MMCController and L_ETC_MMCControllerBus, a service
has to be dened that determines the operang mode of the master.
For one, based on a conguraon, the EtherCAT bus can be set to the "Operaonal" state.
Furthermore, a "Second Staon Address" (alias address) can be assigned to the EtherCAT
slaves.
The funcon blocks L_ETC_MMCController and L_ETC_MMCControllerBus may
only be instanced once within the PLC applicaon.
The conguraon is only checked while the EtherCAT master is boong. If slaves
are removed or added during operaon, respecve checks have to be carried
out by the PLC applicaon.
