14 Return the equipment or components for service
Maintenance inside the device should only be performed by the manufacturer.If you
send us a device, indicate whether the device is free of harmful substances or if it is
contaminated. If it is contaminated, also indicate the type of hazard. Use the form
prepared by us:
"Declaration of Contamination of Compressors, Vacuum Pumps and Components".
The form can be found on the Internet: www.leybold.com - Downloads - Download
documents. Attach the form to the device or attach it in email.
This declaration of contamination is required to comply with legal requirements and
protect our employees. Devices without explanation about contamination will be
sent by Leybold back to the sender.
