Considering the effect of the pipe diameter on the system pressure drop, the pipe diameter of the indoor unit and
outdoor unit should be determined according to the specifications listed in Table 2-7. Or you can consult Emerson
office technicians for determining.

Installing pipe extension kit (for site installation)
When the equivalent length of the pipe exceeds 30m, a pipe extension kit should be installed. During the installation
of the pipe extension kit, to avoid the pipe opening, it is recommended to install the solenoid valve of the pipe
extension kit onto the outside project pipe of the ball valve on the liquid pipe. The outer side or the bottom of the unit
is allowable.
So, during installing the solenoid valve, you do not need to cut the indoor unit pipes. After the whole system is
installed, you can open the ball valve to keep pressure and carry out the vacuum operation, avoiding the moisture
absorption of the compressor refrigeration oil and ensuring the operation safety and life of the compressor. For the
electrical connections of the pipe extension kit, refer to 3.2.4 Connecting Solenoid Valve Of Pipe Extension Kit
(Option For Site Installation).
2.5.2 Charging Refrigerant And Adding Refrigerant Oil
1. Charging refrigerant
The Liebert CRV+ series air conditioner has been charged in factory with 2bar nitrogen to keep the pressure.
Table 2-8 and Table 2-9 give standard charging amount of outdoor unit (different models for different outdoor
temperatures) and indoor unit condenser. Table 2-10 gives standard charging amount for 10m connecting pipe
system. You can determine the refrigerant charging amount according to the system configuration and connecting
pipe length of indoor unit and outdoor unit. If the connection pipe between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit is
longer than 10m, refill the refrigerant to the system to ensure normal system operation according to Table 2-11.
