The load does
not turn off.
 Leakage current due to the use of two different
power supplies.
 Use only one power supply.
 Connect a blocking diode.
If the load is inductive (i.e. relay, contactor,
solenoid, transformer, etc.), install a diode to
clamp the back EMF.
