Belt Replacement (figures 23A-23B)
1. Remove the right and left belt guards
(items 1-2) by removing the eight bolts
(item 3), lockwashers (item 4) and flat
washers (item 5).
2. Remove the stover lock nut (item 6) and
the flat washer (item 7).
3. Insert a 1/2" square handle (item 8) in
the belt idler and apply pressure until the
spring is closed (item 9) and remove it.
Release the pressure on the square
handle.
4. Install the new belt by routing it through the
pulleys as shown on figure 23B.
5. Reinstall the parts previously removed.
