Exhalation Valve Assembly
Always leak test the patient breathing circuit after assembly or cleaning.
WARNING
Leak Testing Patient Circuits – Leak test the patient circuit with all accessories connected
before connection to the patient. Failing to do this can result in ineffective ventilation and
possible harm to the patient. Refer to Leak Test in Chapter 2 – Ventilator Checkout Tests for
detailed instructions.
