Notes: 1. The input wire gauge is specified at 55.5 volts dc, 50
amperes output, and nominal input voltages.
2. Each rectifier requires 3 input wires including “green wire
ground.” Use KS24194 L3, KS20785, KS20747, or no less
than 75° C commercial wire.
3. Where the trade size of the conduit used is smaller than the
conduit knockout, use appropriate knockout reducing
washers.

Connection
When the RSA is factory installed on the plant frame, the RSA
dc power output feeder cables are pre-wired to the plant dc bus
bars. When the RSA is field installed, the dc power feeder cables
and installation hardware are supplied with the RSA.
Rectifier and
Controller
Interface Cables
When the RSA is factory installed on the ECS plant, the
controller is also installed on the frame and the RSA interface
ribbon cable is routed, dressed, and connected to the controller
interface connector. The interface cable from the controller will
be included as part of the initial plant frame and dressed to the
normal locations for field additions of RSAs. For field
installation into supplementary plant frames, the interface cable
is provided with the RSA. For example, the J85500G-2 plant can
be upgraded by adding RSAs in both the initial and
supplementary plant frames.
Site Preparation The RSA can be mounted to either a standard 23-inch rack frame
(with 22-5/16 inch mounting centers) or a standard 26-inch rack
frame (with 24-5/16 inch mounting centers). It must be mounted
so that a minimum of 12 inches exists between the bottom of the
RSA and the bottom of the equipment directly above the RSA.
When the frame is to be located against a wall, be sure that a
three-inch or greater clearance exists between the rear of the
