Changing the General
Mailbox Owner
Whenever a caller leaves a message in the General Mailbox, the system lights the
Message light on the General Mailbox owner's system telephone. To retrieve
messages, you must access mailbox 9999. T
O change the extension number
assigned to the General Mailbox owner, update the General Mailbox Owner’s
extension on Form 2: System Parameters, and follow the instructions below.

Access the Administration Main Menu as described in an earlier section.
The system plays the system programming options.
Press [

] for System Parameters.
The System Parameters Menu plays.
Press [

] to change the extension of the General Mailbox Owner.
The current General Mailbox Owner’s extension plays and prompts for a new
extension.
Enter the General Mailbox owner’s new EXTENSION followed by [ # ].
The new extension number plays, followed by the System Parameters Menu.
Press [

] to return to the Administration Main Menu.
Changing the System Administrator’s
Extension
Use Form 2: System Parameters to determine the System Administrator’s extension,
and record the new extension on the form.
