Reset the unit
In the case you need to reset the unit without the web interface, the GigaCore range of Ethernet switch oer dierent
levels of reset, based on the ones you can nd through the web interface.
Reset: The unit is brought back to its default conguration, with the default IP address printed at the back of the unit.
Proles stored in the unit are preserved.
Default login: admin
Password: No password
Reload Default: Prole stored in slot 1 is reloaded. The “Reload Default” is available only if the prole stored in slot 1
has been locked through the utility menu (see “Default Prole” on page 26). If this prole is set with a password, the
user will need to enter it through the web interface to access the switch’s menus.
Default login: admin
Password: The one set for the prole (if there is one)
Factory Reset: Unit is fully reset, proles stored in the unit are deleted.
Default login: admin
Password: No password
Condition 1: Unit is currently running
Condition 2: There is no prole set as default prole (see “Default Prole” on page 26).
Hold the reset button at the rear of the unit for at least ve seconds to see the four status’ LEDs blinking red. Releasing
the reset button while the LEDs are blinking red will reset the unit.
Be aware that releasing the reset button during the rst 5seconds before LEDS blink red will cancel operation.
