your PID settings with APM, but we have seen mixed results with
this process. Even if this is an option for you, it would still be a
good idea to learn more about the theory of PID tuning so that
you understand what is going on behind the scenes. If you are
interested in learning more, we have a good starting point on the

Standard Params
The Standard Params page starts to show you the extreme
flexi-
bility of the APM platform (see Figure 9-26). The screen shows a
long list of parameters that can be set to help customize or fine-
tune your aircraft for your specific needs. Although this list is
much too long to discuss here, we certainly invite you to explore
it yourself; however, a word of warning: be careful what you
change! If you don’t understand what something does, look it up
on the APM website before changing it and attempting to
fly. A
