5. Butt the fl at part of the mounting
channel against bottom of vehicle
rear sill and I-beams. Then, butt the
step support against back of the
step (FIG. 65-1).

6. Ensure slotted hole in the step sup-
port is lined up with the hole on
the step (FIG. 65-1). Then, bolt the
support to step (FIG. 65-1). Torque
the lock nuts (FIG. 65-1) to 105 lb-ft
force.
