7. Start the FraxCal software by double clicking the FraxCal icon on the desktop.
The start page of the software is presented in the gure below.
The software will automatically detect the serial number of the FRAX unit and the last calibration date. It
will also automatically suggest current date to be the new calibration date. The date can be changed by the
user. The software will also automatically detect the communication ports for the FRAX and the DMM.
8. To start the calibration, press “Start Calibration”.
During the calibration process, the software shows the information about the progress. The process takes
approximately 12 minutes.
After successfully completed calibration, the following message will appear.
All calibration data is stored in the FRAX instrument. No written report can be obtained from the software,
thus suggesting a separate calibration report to be created manually.
9. Apply the sticker on the FRAX back panel, informing the FRAX user about the last calibration date.
NOTE
Although the FRAX does not need to be calibrated more often than every two years, the recom-
mendation is to calibrate the unit every year.
Verication
After a successful calibration, it is recommended to do a “short” measurement to verify that the FRAX
performs as expected.
Connect as described in the gure below.
