7.3 Commissioning
This segment contains important information on the correct use of the machine. even if you already have experi-
ence in handling construction machines and equipment of this type, we strongly recommend you read this seg-
ment.
7.3.1 Preliminary check

Warning symbols
Make sure that all warning symbols on the machine are intact
and clean. If necessary, replace them when they are damaged.
Warning !
Loose fastening devices
• Can result in death or severe injuries.
• Check all connections, bolts, bushings etc. for tight seating
and perfect condition.

Missing or defective protective equipment
• Can result in death or severe injuries.
• Make sure that all safety and protection equipment is in-
stalled and functioning correctly.

Maintenance work when the machine is running
• Can result in death or severe injuries.
• Checks, lubrication work, maintenance work or adjustments
may only be carried out when the engine is switched off.
The machine must be parked on a level and secure location,
the chassis and the excavator arm must be placed on the
ground.

Obstacles at the workplace
• Can result in death or severe injuries.
• Do not take any heavy objects (bolts, tools, replacement ma-
terial, etc.) into the cab. These block you from operating the
controls.
