7.3.3 Startup and commissioning
The machine may only be started after carrying out the work described in
the "Daily checks" chapter.

Starting the Diesel engine
The described worksteps must be carried out by the operator from the cab.
1. Insert ignition key and turn to Position 1 to activate and start the electro-
nic components .
2. Set the speed potentiometer to the minimum engine speed.
3. Turn the ignition key further to the stop and keep it turned until the Diesel
engine starts. Then immediately release it, leaving it in position.
Checks and protective measures when the engine is running
Warning !
Starting up in a closed room
• Can result in death or severe injuries.
• Install a prescribed ventilation system before starting up the
machine in a closed room. Make sure there is good ventilati-
on.
Attention !
Prolonged actuation of the starter
• Can result in damage to property.
• Do not actuate the starter for more than 30 seconds. Other-
wise it might overheat. If the engine does not start on the rst
attempt then wait at least 2 minutes before making another
attempt. If the machine has not started after 4 attempts then
refer to the instructions in the "Fault and remedy" segment
Attention !
Control lamps lighting
• Can result in damage to property.
• Make sure that no control lamp lights up on the display.
