8.7 Gears
8.7.1 Wheel hub
The rear wheels are driven by two (four) hydrostatic wheel-hub drives lled with gear oil. The wheel-hub drives are
equipped with an automatic parking brake that also runs in an oil bath. The brake is adjustment and maintenance-
free.
Oil level check: daily check for leaks and level check after 500 operating hours.
Oil replacement: every 1000 operating hours or annually.
1. Align the wheel as shown in the corresponding diagram to the left.
2. Provide a suitable catch container.
3. Remove the plug(s).
4. Allow the gear oil to drain completely.
5. Mount the plug(s).
6. Align the wheel as shown in the corresponding diagram to the right.
7. Fill gear oil at the top plug (A) until it runs up to the level plug (B).
8. Mount the plug(s).
Attention !
Fast-llingthegearoil
• Can result in damage to the drive mechanism.
• Fill the gear oil slowly to avoid bubbles. This prevents incor-
rect measurements.
