3 Keypad Only Installations
KEYBOARD (OPTIONAL)

Insert the keyboard cable into a USB 2.00 connection on the back of the analyzer.
Having a computer keyboard connected does not affect operation of the keypad. The keyboard
and keypad can be used interchangeably.

1. Ensure the pin assignment of the RS-232 port matches the pin assignment of the serial line.
2. Check that the serial port settings (baud rate, stop bits, etc.) of the analyzer match those of
the serial line.
3. Connect one end of the RS-232 cable to the connector labeled RS-232 on the back of the
analyzer and the other end to the serial line.
NETWORK CABLE (OPTIONAL)

Anetwork cable provides the ability to:
n e-mail results automatically after an analysis
n use a web browser to view analysis results
1. Connect the network cable to the ethernet port on the back of the analyzer.
2. Press Alt + 2. The Select Setup prompt is displayed.
3. Press ENTER to accept the current Setup number.
4. Press CHOICE until Edit Setup is displayed. Then press ENTER.
5. Press CHOICE until Communications is displayed. Then press ENTER.
6. Obtain an IP address.
