BAR CODE READER (OPTIONAL)
Abar code reader can be used to scan bar code numbers directly to the analyzer software.The
number is scanned into the field displayed at the time of the scan, typically, the Sample ID field is
used for this information.
Connect the bar code reader to a USB port on the back of the analyzer.

1. Ensure the pin assignment of the RS-232 port matches the pin assignment of the analytical
balance.
2. Check that the serial port settings (baud rate, stop bits, etc.) of the analyzer coincide with
those of the analytical balance.
3. Connect one end of the RS-232 cable to the connector labeled RS-232 on the back of the
analyzer and the other end to the analytical balance.
