4 SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
If using a keypad with the analyzer, skip this chapter.
This section is applicable only to standard installations. If installing in a 21CFR11
environment, see Confirm Administrator Guide [004-42821-01] for software install-
ation instructions.
n The application should not be installed on a network drive with shared access. Mul-
tiple users cannot operate the application at the same time.
n If the computer is to be connected to a network, a second Ethernet port on the com-
puter must be used for the purpose.
These prerequisites must be completed prior to installing the software:
n User Account Control in the Windows operating system must be enabled to ensure all com-
ponents of the Micromeritics application are installed properly. If UACis not enabled, right-click
the setup.exe installer file and select Run as administrator.
n Configure an Ethernet port on the computer to communicate with the analyzer. The IP address
must be 192.168.77.100. Refer to the computer operator manual for instructions on changing
the IPaddress.
n Attach the analyzer to the Ethernet port on the computer. Use an Ethernet switch if multiple
instruments will be attached.
1. Power ONthe Smart VacPrep (if installed).
2. Insert the installation media into the computer. The setup program automatically starts. If
the setup program does not immediately start, navigate to the media device, then locate
and double click the setup.exe file.
3. Click Next on the Welcome window.
