Problem Possible cause and solution
Fault F 446 The door lock is defective.
Contact Miele Customer Service.
Fault F 492, 541 The program has not started properly. There may be water
in the wash cabinet.
Clean the filter combination (see “Cleaning and care”).
Clean the non-return valve (see “Frequently asked ques-
tions”).
Fault F 550 The Waterproof system has reacted.
Close the faucet.
Contact Miele Customer Service.
Fault F578 The peak-load negotiation has lasted longer than 2hours.
Have your electrical system and your energy manage-
ment system tested by a specialist.
