The needle must be exchanged every 6 month.

1 Shut down the instrument.
2 Move needle arm to the front.
3 Remove needle from the needle arm as described in Exchange the sample needle on page76. You do
not have to remove the sample tubing from the needle holder.
4 Place the sealing removal tool on the lower part of the sealing.
5 Screw the removal tool counter-clockwise.
6 The needle sealing will move downwards until it can be pulled out.
7 Continue screwing to separate the sealing removal tool from the old needle sealing.
8 The orientation of the needle sealing is important. The top part of the sealing has a notch to indicate the
correct orientation. This notch must face to the back. When viewed from the front, the top buffer-supply
inlet port is facing to the left, while the lower waste outlet port is facing to the right.
9 Carefully push the new needle sealing from the bottom. Make sure not to tilt the needle sealing to prevent a
damage of the outside sealing (colored rings).
10 Upon resistance the orientation of the needle sealing might have to be adjusted.
11 Push the needle sealing all the way in, until it snaps into final position.
