3.1.3 Clamping the VL-50AS measuring unit (on the dedicated stand)
To clamp the measuring unit on the dedicated stand, observe the following procedure.

(6) Clamp bles on the bracket with the cable clamp.
oosen the clamp on the dedicated stand.
ount the measuring unit on the bracket of the stand and rotate the feed nut to adjust the
t height so that the spindle may not come into contact with the table.
ighten the clamp on the stand.
ipe off the dust and dirt on the mounting bottom face of the measuring unit and the
t top face.
ount the measuring unit on the bracket carefully so as not to bump the spindle against
cket. Tighten four bolts on the bracket with the supplied Allen wrench to clamp the
ring unit.
p the measuring unit, alternately fasten two pairs of diagonal bolts little by little.

IMORTANT
If the clamp bolts need to be loosened for changing the measuring unit height, be sure to
check that the feed nut is in contact with the bracket before loosening the clamp bolts.
