(3) Plug the power cord connector in the AC adapter, clamp the jack cord from the AC
adapter with the cord clamp on the main unit, and then plug the jack firmly in the DC.

(4) When using an external device such as the Digimatic mini-processor, turn off the
power switch, and then connect the connecting cable to the connector on the rear
panel of the display unit.
IMORTANT Pay attention to each connector orientation. A protrusion is mounted on the upper side of
both VL and printer connectors.
Reverse insertion will result in damage to the connectors.
(5) Connect the power cord plug to an outlet of the power source, and then turn on the
power switch on the display unit.
IMORTANT
●Be sure to use the power cord supplied with this instrument.
●Do not share the outlet of the power to this instrument with other equipment (particularly
motor-driven equipment). Draw this instrument power from an independent outlet
wherever possible.
●Be sure to use the measuring unit in an upright position with the spindle down.
Since this instrument does not activate properly when the measuring unit is not in an
upright position, do not turn on the power in this position.
