4. OPERATING PROCEDURE
(8) Tolerance setup (3-step discrimination)

he 3-step tolerance judgment is performed by setting tolerance values S1 and S4 as shown in the table
elow (S2 and S3 are not used).

Key operation Response display/output
1 Press [LIMIT].
Tolerance indicator: lights orange.
The tolerance setup mode is entered, displaying the
most recent lower limit value.
2 [ > ]
Pressing the [ > ] key flashes the most significant digit
(MSD) and enters a state in which a preset value can be
inputted.
3 Press [ > ] 3 times.
Each time the [ > ] or [ < ] key is pressed, the flashing
digit moves in the direction of the arrow.

Press [ ] once.
Press the [ ] or [ ] key to change a display value.
The number at the MSD changes between 0 and 9, 9
and -0, -0 and -9, or -9 and 0, including the sign.
5 Press [LIMIT].
Tolerance indicator: lights red.
Moves to the upper limit setup mode by pressing the
[LIMIT] key.

[ > ], [ < ]
Perform setup in the same procedure as in steps 2, 3,
and 4.
To cancel presetting, press the [ZERO] key to restore
the count mode.
7 Press [LIMIT].
When the tolerance setup is finished by pressing the
[LIMIT] key, bars are displayed and then the count
display mode is restored.

-step discrimination: The 5-step tolerance judgment is also possible by selecting the parameter. In this
ase set the tolerance limits in the order of S1, S2, S3, and S4 in the same way as used for 3-step
iscrimination.

When each tolerance limit is inputted, the tolerance indicator indicates as follows:

At S2 input Flashes orange.
At S3 input Flashes red.
At S4 input Lights red.

f any setting other than the following is performed for tolerance setup, an error will result. Press the CLR
ey, and then input a tolerance limit again.
For 3-step discrimination: S1 S2
or 5-step discrimination: S1<S2<S3<S4 or S1=S2=S3=S4
NOTE
Once a preset value, tolerance limits, and peak mode have been set, these data is stored in
the backup memory and is effective even if the power supply is turned off.
