The control function sets whether the system is a weight loss or weight gain system.
Weight loss (control function = 0) Weight gain (control function = 1)

this value.
Set to 0 for timed refill only.
Discharge of product starts when the
weight reaches this value.
low setpoint
Refilling starts when the weight drops
to this value.
Set to 0 to disable refill control, ‘mate-

Discharge of product ends at this
weight.
feed gate delay Sets the time to terminate a refill. Set
to 0 to disable.
Sets the time to keep the material
feed on after the weight has dropped
below the low setpoint.
alarm timeout
If the feed gate delay = 0 then a NOT
FILLING ALARM occurs if the weight is
less than high setpoint for this time
during refill.
If the feed gate delay is not 0, then a
NOT FILLING ALARM occurs if the
weight is less than the low setpoint for
this time during refill.
A NOT DISCHARGING ALARM occurs if
the weight is greater than the low
setpoint this time after the material
feed is turned off.
hold time
During the feed period (when the vessel is being refilled or discharged), the
controller speed demand and the flowrate signal are held constant. An auto-
matic hold can also be activated by using the Internal Signal ‘flowrate distur-
bance hold’ setting (QK 2332). The hold time maintains the hold for this
amount of time after the feed or automatic hold ends, to allow the flowrate to
stabilise again.
