Now that you’ve become familiar with the entire chipping process, use the checklists below at the beginning and end of each cycle.
Start-up
o
Emergency equipment is on the work site.
o
At least two trained personnel are on the work site.
o
All personal are outtted with proper protective clothing and gear.
o
Work site is inspected.
o
Work site is prepared.
o
Chipper is inspected for worn, damaged, missing or loose parts.
o
Chipper set-up for operation.
o
Infeed is clear of debris.
o
All shields and hoods are secured with locking pins.
o
Tire pressure (if applicable) is checked for proper ination.
o
Daily maintenance is conducted. (see maintenance schedule.)
