Problem Possible Causes Possible Solutions
Mobile computer does not turn on. Lithium-ion battery not
charged.
Charge or replace the lithium-ion battery.
Lithium-ion battery not
installed properly.
Ensure battery is installed properly. Refer to the
MC3000 Mobile Computer Integrator Guide.
System crash. Perform a warm boot. If the RFID reader still does
not turn on, perform a cold boot. Refer to the
MC3000 Mobile Computer Integrator Guide.
Rechargeable lithium-ion battery
did not charge.
Battery failed. Replace battery. If the mobile computer still does
not operate, try a warm boot, then a cold boot.
Refer to the MC3000 Mobile Computer Integrator
Guide.
Mobile computer removed
from cradle while battery
was charging.
Insert mobile computer in cradle and begin
charging. The lithium-ion battery requires less than
four hours to recharge fully.
Mobile computer turns off without
proper warning messages during
heavy use.
Due to component
tolerances, this can occur
when using battery part
number 55-060112-xx.
Use battery 55-002152-xx (p/n 82-127909-xx).
No sound. Volume setting is low or
turned off.
Increase the volume setting.
