DMO Group Call
To change talkgroup and range, see the Group Mode section, 
page 30.  
Making a DMO Group Call via Gateway
1. While in DMO, choose a gateway as described in “Selecting 
DMO Group Call via Gateway” on page 44.
2. Place the call for the selected talkgroup: 
• If you press PTT while the gateway is not available, you 
will start a DMO call without gateway. The Gateway icon 
will disappear.
• If you press PTT while the selected 
gateway is available, but the call is 
rejected by the gateway, your 
MTM800 will sound a tone and dis-
play the following screen, informing you that the call via 
Gateway was aborted and that the terminal will auto-
matically proceed to initiate a DMO call without gateway. 
The Gateway icon will disappear.
• If you press PTT while the gateway is available, you will 
start a DMO call with gateway. The Gateway icon will 
turn solid.
Making a DMO Group Call via Repeater
1. While in DMO, choose the Repeater option as described in 
“Selecting DMO Group Call via Repeater” on page 45.
2. Place the call for the selected talkgroup: 
• If you press 
PTT while the repeater is not available, you 
will start a DMO call without repeater. The Repeater 
icon will disappear.
• If you press 
PTT while the selected 
repeater is available, but the call is
