5.11 Engine shutdown at LOP (without BlueLine automation
system)
Preconditions
☑ Engine is running in Local mode
NOTICE
Stopping the engine when it is running at full load causes extreme stress to the engine.
Risk of overheating, damage to components!
• Before shutting down, disengage gear and run the engine at idle speed for at least 10 minutes until
engine temperatures have dropped and constant values are displayed.
Stopping the engine from LOP
Item Action
LOP Disengage gearbox (→ Page 35).
LOP Operate engine at idle speed (→ Page 35).
Temperature indications Wait until engine temperatures do not fall any further.
LOP Press illuminated pushbutton STOP (→ Page 35).
• Illuminated pushbutton STOP lights up.
• Engine at a standstill.
