8.7.3 Fuel system – Venting
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.
WARNING
Fuels are combustible and explosive.
Risk of fire and explosion!
• Avoid open flames, electrical sparks and ignition sources.
• Do not smoke.
• Wear protective clothing, protective gloves, and safety glasses / facial protection.
Venting fuel system
1. Unlock fuel priming pump, unscrew handle.
2. Open threaded vent plugs on filter head.
3. Operate the pump with the handle until bub-
ble-free fuel emerges at the threaded vent
plugs.
4. Close threaded vent plugs on filter head.
