8.7.2 Fuel – Draining
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.
WARNING
Fuels are combustible and explosive.
Risk of fire and explosion!
• Avoid open flames, electrical sparks and ignition sources.
• Do not smoke.
• Wear protective clothing, protective gloves, and safety glasses / facial protection.
Draining fuel
1. Release threaded vent plugs on filter head.
2. Open nipple on fuel line and drain fuel into
appropriate container.
3. When fuel stops emerging from system, close
nipple on fuel line.
4. Close threaded vent plugs on filter head.
