Supported macOS Operating Systems
The Nasuni Edge Appliance provides file sharing services to the macOS operating system versions 10.9
(Mavericks) and 10.10 (Yosemite).
Note: The name of the Macintosh operating system changed from “Mac OS X” to “macOS” with
macOS version 10.12 (Sierra). This document uses “macOS” to refer to both macOS and
Mac OS X.
Supported Virtual Platforms
The Nasuni Edge Appliance runs as a virtual machine within the following virtual server platform
versions:

Nutanix AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor)
Version: 20170830.151 and above
VMware ESXi
5.5 and above
(including support for virtual machine disks (VMDKs)
larger than 2 TB
on VMFS-5 or NFS datastores)
Windows Server
2016 Hyper-V (recommended for better performance)
2012 Hyper-V (supported )
2008 R2 SP1 Hyper-V (supported)
