When using TRAKTOR PRO, the GAIN/FILTER encoder controls the input level of the signal
coming from the corresponding Deck before it passes the channel fader.
►
Turn the GAIN/FILTER encoder to adjust the channel input gain.
This notably affects the resulting level as shown by the channel meter at the bottom: If the
channel meter indicates that the signal is clipping, turn down the GAIN/FILTER encoder.
For more info on how to set your levels correctly, see the tutorial in section ↑4.3, Adjusting
Levels.
To reset a Deck’s input gain to 0 db:
►
Push the GAIN/FILTER encoder.
The secondary function of the GAIN/FILTER encoders controls a TRAKTOR Deck’s Filter.
►
Press SHIFT + turn the GAIN/FILTER encoder. Turning clockwise cuts the low end fre-
quencies (HPF), whereas turning counter clockwise cuts the high end (LPF).
For an explanation on using the GAIN/FILTER
encoders
with TRAKTOR DJ, refer to ↑5.1.3, Us-
ing the Filters.
7.7.2 EQ Knobs
The EQ knobs.
Each channel
boards an EQ section with the three usual knobs HI, MID and LOW for controlling
high, medium and low frequency content of the signal, respectively.
