      If your Nautilus Elliptical Trainer operates but does not display Telemetric HR: * Ensure the strap is "POLAR®" compatible and uncoded. Make sure the strap is directly against the skin and the contact area is wet. * If the strap has replaceable batteries, install new batteries. * Select the Edit User Profile option and ensure the WIRELESS HR setting is set to ON. * Try moving the unit away from sources of interference like TVs or microwaves. * If eliminating interference doesn't work, replace the strap. * If the HR still doesn't function, replace the Console.

      If your Nautilus Elliptical Trainer is operating, but does not display Contact HR: * Ensure the cable is securely connected to the Console. * Verify that the cables from the handlebars and the cable to the Console are secure and undamaged. * Make sure your hands are centered on the HR sensors, kept still, and applying relatively equal pressure to each side. * Consider using a conductive electrode cream (heart rate cream) to improve conduction. These are available online or at medical and some fitness stores. * If these steps don't resolve the issue, the Static Handlebar may need to be replaced.
