Pulse to Tone Conversion
Description
An extension can use Pulse to Tone Conversion on trunk calls. Pulse to Tone Conversion lets a user
change their extension’s dialing mode while placing a call. For systems in a Dial Pulse area, this
permits users to access dial-up OCCs (such as MCI) from their DP area. The user can, for example:
Place a call to an OCC over a DP trunk.
Depending on programming:
Manually implement Pulse to Tone Conversion
OR
Wait 10 seconds.
Dial the OCC security code and desired number. The system dials the digits after the conver-
sion as DTMF.
Repeat Redial
Description
If a keyset user places a trunk call that is busy or unanswered, they can have Repeat Redial try it
again later on. The user doesn’t continually have to try the number again -- hoping it will go
through. Repeat Redial automatically retries it until the called party answers (the number of retries
is based on system programming).
