2-1 Setting Up the MH240
2.1.1
Quick Configure of the MH240
The MH240 can be set up with two methods - handset programming or IP Phone Manager for the MH240. The
information which follows describes the basic handset steps. For further information on either method, refer to
the MH240 Wireless IP Telephone Setup Guide (handset programming) or the IP Phone Manager for MH240
Operation Manual. Both manuals are available on the NEC technical support site (http://www.necux5000.com).
2.1.1.1 Power on the MH240
1. Press and hold the MENU key for 2 seconds or more. The start screen appears.
Note: About 30 seconds will be required for displaying the start screen.
2. The screen is placed in Standby mode.
2.1.1.2 INITIALIZE MH240
Initialize MH240 as required. By doing this procedure, the following data will be initialized.
●
Config (configuration data)
●
Directory
●
Call History
● Speed Dial / Preset Dial
●
Date & Time
●
Password
1. Press the MENU key in Standby mode to display the main menu.
2. Press 5 3 1 to go to the “1.Config” menu.
3. Press keys 2 4 0 # and hold each key for 1 second or more.
4. Press keys 7 2 to initialize the phone.
The phone will automatically reboot.
