Connecting a parallel printer
5. Connect the power cable to the device and a properly grounded wall
outlet.
6. Turn on power to the system and the device.
Note:
Check that the device is online before
you try to use it. See the instructions that came with
the device for more information.
Serial Devices
To install a serial device such as a printer or an external modem, you
need a cable with a female 9-pin connector.
Note:
When you connect a printer, be sure to
install the appropriate printer driver through the
Windows Control Panel.
