What are all those messages on my screen when I
start up my computer?
At power on, the system displays configuration
messages as it performs diagnostic tests. The tests check major hardware
components, such as memory and interface circuits. The system
compares the hardware it finds with parameters last saved by the Setup
program. This process is the Power-On Self-Test (POST).
Note:
You can bypass the POST memory test
by pressing the space bar.
